Founded by Patrick Grant—designer, entrepreneur, and outspoken critic of fast fashion—Community Clothing is his vision for a better, fairer fashion industry. One that supports skilled UK manufacturers, creates jobs in local communities, and produces quality clothing that doesn’t cost the earth.
What
A visual identity that brings those values to life—handmade, honest, and built to last. Community Clothing had a solid mission but no real brand to back it up—just a logo and little else. We created a hand-made, fashion-led identity that echoed the care and craft behind every garment. It started with a monthly zine—cut from old catalogues and discarded print—used as a newsletter, a pack-in with orders, and as graphic assets across the website. The raw, collage-driven visuals became the backbone of a brand language rooted in sustainability and substance.
Digitally, we carried that feel through with stop-motion and lo-fi animation, bringing the tactile aesthetic into the online space without polishing off its edge. The result? A brand that doesn’t just talk about ethics—it looks and feels like it means it.
