Who
Book4Us, part of the Early Starts nursery group, had a clear mission—to make children’s books more accessible. Specializing in literature for readers aged 14 and under, they wanted to refine their brand and website to better serve young book lovers and their families. However, after a deep dive into their market, a bigger opportunity emerged: rather than refining Book4Us, we could build something new—an online bookstore dedicated entirely to children’s literature.

What
We started from scratch, exploring over 50 names and 10 visual identities before landing on Talltales—a playful homophone of "tail" and "tale" that perfectly captures the magic of storytelling and imagination.

Visually, the identity is designed to spark curiosity. A series of bold, flat character illustrations leave only their tails visible—inviting young readers to imagine the rest of the story, just like a great book does. The vibrant, character-inspired color palette makes the brand feel fun and familiar, while a nostalgic yet modern typography choice ensures readability and warmth. Every element was crafted to make Talltales feel like a world of stories waiting to be explored.
